At #SpreadtheloveCLT, we are dedicated to stepping up our efforts in addressing the issue of the Low-income and at-risk families in Our Community. This is by no means an easy task, but through cooperation and community empowerment, we believe we can facilitate progress in this area.
With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to find new strategies for dealing with the challenges of Our City. This is something that we take very seriously, and our team is working each and every day to make a positive impact.
Our goal is to promote great opportunities for those in need. With access to the right resources, people can become empowered by their own abilities and gain the confidence to fulfill their potential. HOW IT ALL STARTED
Who we are
Katie and Travis met about a year after Katie had left her abuser and fled for the safety of herself and her two teen daughters, they had been living in and out of hotels, many nights they slept in their car. For a whole year Katie did her best to make sure they had the essential items to just live.
Both of Katie's children where still in School so the effect of homelessness quickly took a toll on Katie and her children. She saved every penny she could while she still did what any mother facing hard times did, just made the best out of her situation. When Travis met Katie things quickly took off and their relationship bloomed into something GREAT! Shortly after they moved in together, Katie expressed her feelings towards the challenges that she faced while homeless, shortly after that her and her family decided to become a BRIDGE in the community. Her focus was simple. To be the BRIDGE between the GAP between what Recourses the community actually Needs and what Resources the community actually HAS! And just like that #SpreadtheloveCLT was Born She started the Organization in the 3 bedroom house her and her family live in, and quickly she realized this was what she was made for. Her passion is Spreading the love that many people just don't Feel. So she has decided to Give everyone the love that God has Given to her. She has dedicated her time to Making #SpreadtheloveCLT what it is today and plans to continue these efforts with no sign of stopping any time soon.
